Last updated: May 24, 2025
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of Streetlight Brief, a service of Streetlight Brief (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By using Streetlight Brief, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, or using any part of Streetlight Brief, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, with material changes communicated via email or a notice on our website.
2. Service Description
Streetlight Brief provides weekly local intelligence briefings for church leaders. Reports include demographic data, health indicators, local news, community insights, and expert commentary. We offer three subscription tiers — Nationwide (free), State, and Local — each with different levels of geographic detail.
We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee that all data is error-free. Report content is informational and should not be the sole basis for major decisions. Streetlight Brief is not a substitute for professional demographic consulting.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete registration information
- Keep your password secure and not share it with others
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- Use the service only for lawful purposes consistent with its intended use
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Payment & Billing
Paid subscriptions (State and Local tiers) are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All prices are listed in USD. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method through our payment processor (Stripe).
- Free tier: No payment required. Available indefinitely.
- Monthly billing: Charged each month on your renewal date.
- Annual billing: Charged once per year at the discounted rate.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will retain access through the end of your current billing period. We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods.
5. Intellectual Property
All content, reports, data visualizations, expert commentary, and materials provided by Streetlight Brief are the property of Streetlight Brief and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.
You may share individual reports with your leadership team for internal church use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit Streetlight Brief content without our written permission. The underlying public data (Census, CDC, etc.) remains in the public domain.
6. Limitation of Liability
Streetlight Brief is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
- Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- We are not responsible for the accuracy of third-party data sources (Census, CDC, news outlets, etc.).
7. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use Streetlight Brief ceases immediately.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or are inactive for an extended period. We will provide reasonable notice where possible.
8. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Streetlight Brief shall be resolved in the courts of Williamson County, Tennessee.
