5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted password storage, and row-level security policies on all database tables. While no system is completely secure, we are committed to protecting your data with reasonable safeguards.

6. AI & Automated Data Processing

Our Commitment to Transparent AI

Streetlight Brief uses a layered approach to generate your weekly intelligence reports. We believe you deserve to know exactly how your data is processed:

  • CP Index scores are deterministic, not AI-generated. All scores are calculated using a transparent, rule-based formula with fixed weights. No machine learning models decide your community’s score. You can review the full methodology on our Methodology page.
  • AI is used only for narrative generation. We use large language models to transform computed data into readable, pastoral-language summaries. The AI receives only factual data points (a “fact pack”) and can only describe those facts — it cannot invent statistics or fabricate metrics.
  • Your personal data is never used to train AI models. We do not send your email address, name, or payment information to any AI provider. Only aggregated, de-identified community metrics (e.g., census data, health indicators) are processed.
  • Human review during pilot phase. During our pilot program, every report is reviewed by a human before delivery to ensure accuracy and pastoral sensitivity.

We use only commercial AI providers with enterprise data agreements that prohibit using our data for model training. Your community’s data is processed under these agreements and is never shared with free or public AI models.

7. Children's Privacy

Streetlight Brief is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly. Contact us at privacy@streetlightbrief.com if you believe we have inadvertently collected such information.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of Streetlight Brief after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
